1. What does Goodfellow do?
A:

Goodfellow supplies small to medium quantities of metals, alloys, ceramics and polymers for research, development, prototyping and specialised manufacturing operations.

2. How many materials and forms are offered?
A:

Just over 500 different materials and 32 different forms (rod, wire, tube, foil, etc.).

3. How many items are there on the Goodfellow website?
A:
No-one has ever counted them! However, we estimate that there are in excess of 70,000 when all of the various pack sizes of the different materials and forms are taken into consideration.

4. How do I get hold of a printed catalogue?
A:

Simply call us at 021-6112 1560 or send an email to china@goodfellow.com. Don't forget to include your name and address so that we know where to send it!

5. Does Goodfellow supply samples of material?
A:
Goodfellow sells small quantities of materials and, therefore, we do not generally provide samples of our materials free of charge. However, if you require a sample of material for a specific reason, please contact us as we may be able to assist.

6. How can Goodfellow help me if I can't find precisely what I require?
A:
In addition to our catalogue items, Goodfellow can also supply custom-made items. This means that if you have a need for a material, quantity of material, form of material or size of material not listed in the catalogue, please contact us as we may be able to assist.

7. What discounts does Goodfellow offer?
A:
Our standard catalogue pricing structures take account of increasing quantities. Therefore, the unit price decreases as the quantity ordered increases. However, if you require a quantity in excess of the maximum amount listed, please contact us as we may be able to offer a more competitive price.

1. What are the benefits of registering on the site?
A:
It is not necessary to register to use the Goodfellow website to obtain current prices and technical information for our products. However, registering on the site will enable you to submit request for quotation and it will also enable us to keep you up to date of any developments in our range of materials.

2. If I register, will I receive unsolicited e-mails?
A:
We will use the e-mail addresses of our customers to advise them of items which could be of interest. However, if you do not wish to receive correspondence from us, please let us know by sending an e-mail and we will amend our records accordingly.

3. How secure is my personal data?
A:
Full details of our security policies are detailed under the section entitled "Privacy Policy". All personal information is securely stored and will only be used by Goodfellow. Any credit card information which is given to us will be deleted from our records once the transaction has been completed. If an item has to be returned and the card credited, you will be asked to supply details of your card again.

1. How do I order items on the Goodfellow Website?
A:
Ordering on the website is very simple. Simply find the material or item you require from the "Product Search" or "Products" sections and then click on the item to add it to your Shopping Basket. You will be advised that the item has been added to your basket. Repeat the process to select further items and then click on the "Shopping Basket" to proceed to the submit a request for quotation. Follow the instructions on each of the screens to complete the process.

2. What are Goodfellow's standard payment terms?
A:
Orders will be dispatched after we have received the full advance payment. Special payment terms need to be confirmed in writing when the order is confirmed. We reserve the right to postpone the delivery if the payment is delayed.

3. How can I pay for my orders?
A:
Customers in China are to place orders with Goodfellow Shanghai. Therefore, customers shall sign the contract with Goodfellow Shanghai and pay the full amount in RMB via bank transfer to Goodfellow Shanghai bank account.

4. What extra shipping costs am I likely to be charged?
A:

The prices quoted by Goodfellow in the catalogue are inclusive of shipping by courier and, therefore, there are no extra charges for shipping. The price of each order is usually based on the quotation.

Each order is only sent to one address in one delivery. If the customer wishes to ship in batches, additional shipping costs will be incurred. Requirement for special supports, tolerances, and special analysis will also incur additional charges. However, the analysis of “High Purity” material is free of charge.

1. When will I receive my order?
A:

Products in stock will be delivered to customers within 10 working days after receipt of full advance payment.

Products not in stock: Delivery is based on the delivery lead time stipulated in the quotation after receipt of full advance payment.

2. Can I order materials with export restrictions?
A:
The UK government stipulates that certain products will require export permit when shipping to China. If your order contains such products, Goodfellow will contact you for more information upon receiving the order.
Q:
3. What is Goodfellow’s return policy?
A:

Please contact Goodfellow before returning any orders. When Goodfellow has agreed to the return, we will provide a return serial number and the return instructions.

All orders are packed with great care and inspected fully before shipping. If there are defects or if the order is incorrect, please contact us within 3 days after receiving the order.

Please retain the original packaging for our verification. Goodfellow will replace the order at no additional cost or refund the full payment amount.
